TRAVERSE CITY An uninvited guest will spend the next few months in jail after a local homeowner noticed someone had used his bathroom, stole his pills and chowed down on his food.
Carson Dean Lo, 30, of Traverse City,
on Friday was sentenced to four months in jail and three years on probation after police said he last year broke into a local man’s house, stole various items and was later found hiding in the man’s garage clutching an assortment of stolen medication and cash.
Court records noted homeowner who lives alone noticed something was amiss when he awoke to find his toilet seat was down when it was usually up. He later noticed his medications were missing, food was strewn about in the kitchen and the front door was open.
The man dialed 911 after he spotted Lo who appeared to be intoxicated wandering into his garage, records state. Officers arrived and found Lo hiding under a picnic table with the stolen items. Records state the men did not know each other and Lo at no point had permission to be inside.
